for future consideration: not being in the USA, when I say “Amazon” I’d like it to default to amazon.ca, not Amazon.com. ditto for other sites that have versions other than the default USA “.com” versions. The ability to provide some customization of the Top Sites would be helpful.

Great point! Will try to think of a better solution for guessing the region better and of course allow for overriding/customization.
