Everything looks ok when I set up a custom shortcut to go to a URL, except nothing happens when I attempt to use it. I do see the text at the top. The global ones work as advertised.

Can you share that shortcut here so we can have a look? A screenshot of it in the options page or if you export your shortcuts and email them to us, either will work.
Was this fixed - I’m having the same problem. The test shows - the link doesn’t seem to matter - I’ve tried Google, Microsoft, my own website. The link appears with a clipboard/pencil next to it but doesn’t open.
